Where you live can be a major reason for your psoriasis and its failure to respond to treatment.  (The Good News, You don't have to Move!)

If you live in a Green or Purple area it is quite likely that your psoriasis is being affected, and any treatments that you are currently using may not be working like they should.

If you live in a Pink area, it is bad, but not to the degree of the two areas above.  The Yellow areas are the best areas to reside but certain areas contained in the Yellow areas may not actually qualify, as this map is quite general and not specific.

Most of Canada, the U.K., and Australia fall in the Green and Purple zone.

In my book, Say Goodbye to Psoriasis, I zero in on what you can do to modify the situation and totally reverse the process that psoriasis goes through!  In other words, instead of your psoriasis spreading all over your body, I show you how to STOP that process and shrink your psoriasis until it disappears completely, revealing clear, beautiful skin.

It's an amazing process that works virtually 100% of the time.  It's just about impossible for it not to work!  Instead of the nagging itching that you are use to, you can actually "feel" your skin healing.  And it doesn't take six months to work.  It starts working immediately and noticeable results are obtained in just days!  Complete clearing in as little as a month.

You really can't go wrong by ordering your own copy of Say Goodbye to Psoriasis.  The risk is all mine and you have 60 days to check it out and put it into action.  Once you do, you'll be amazed at the results.  I know it!  Go ahead and Order Now.

Surviving Winter and Psoriasis
by Jim Longnecker

Most peope suffering from psoriasis dread the winter time.  It is quite common for people who showed improvement in their psoriasis condition during the summer, to suffer from severe flareups during the winter time.

There are a number of reasons why this takes place and there are also some simple things you can do to prevent psoriasis flares.

When your skin is overly dry it is very easy for psoriasis to spread rather quickly.  Those who have a forced air furnace or live in an area with very low humidity should definitely use a humidifier to increase the humidity in the house.  You will notice a big difference quickly!

You need to moistureize your skin more frquently!  When your skin is moisturized and healthy looking it is difficult for the psoriaisis to generate (and regenerate).  You should really moistureize your entire body.  One of the easiest and most economical ways to do this is by using the Moisture Machine .  This is a neat invention that has been around for years but not many people are aware of it.  Click Here to learn more about the moisture machine.  I use it everyday.

During the winter you should apply moisturizer at least 3 times a day.  The brand name probably won't make much difference.  I personally use OLAY products which are available everywhere, are quality products, and reasonably priced.  Experiment a little and find out which one is best for your skin type.

One of the most beneficial things you can do is to visit a tanning parlor two or three times a week.  Spending 10 -15 minutes per session is both safe and very effective.  That is the equivalent to approximately 2 hours in the summer sun.  I live in Austin, Texas and we have had a very mild winter with an unusual number of hot, sunny days but the UV Rays are not strong enough to provide any benefit this time of year.

Using a tanning bed is actually much safer then sunning naturally as you are in a "controlled environment" and also is tightly regulated by the government.  I have personally used the tanning beds and I've also been through the PUVA treatment program at my doctor's.

In my book, Say Goodbye to Psoriasis I go into detail on this subject.  It is definitely an area that you should research.

Last but not least, drink a lot of water.  You need to moisturize your skin from the inside out too, so drink at least three or four pints of water a day.

To survive the winter just think and do moisturizing.  Moistuize your environment, moisturize your skin, and drink water.  And, if you are tanning, moisturize before and after you tan, and have a bottle of water!

Thanks Homeland Security!  Where are our rights?

I definitely removed mine.  I suggest you do the same.  Go to the web site

Ben Franklin Named 'Greatest American with Psoriasis' by National Advocacy Group

KENSINGTON, Md., Jan. 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Benjamin Franklin, who was born 300 years ago tomorrow on Jan. 17, 1706, edged out writer John Updike and "Leave it to Beaver" star Jerry Mathers to be named "Greatest American with Psoriasis" by the patient advocacy group "Psoriasis Cure Now."

The group is hosting a Franklin look-alike who will be distributing psoriasis information to Congressional staffers on Capitol Hill tomorrow to celebrate Franklin's life, to raise awareness of the incurable immune system disease and to continue the group's campaign for more federally funded psoriasis research. The full story of Franklin and his psoriasis, including his own writings on the disease, is available on the web at http://www.Ben300.org.

Franklin wrote detailed accounts of his battle with psoriasis, which coincided with some of the most momentous events in American history. Franklin's psoriasis troubled him, for example, during the time he helped draft the Declaration of Independence, and during his years in France when he secured French support for the Revolutionary War. "We intend to have fun celebrating Franklin's life and educating the public about his little-known battle with psoriasis, but his experience with psoriasis has serious and continuing relevance," said Michael Paranzino, president of Psoriasis Cure Now. "His story is striking because many people with psoriasis are suffering as much today as he did centuries ago. That underscores our message that psoriasis cries out for additional research. But he's also a wonderful role model for psoriasis patients of all ages. From helping America win its independence to his quick wit and sharp mind, there is something in his life to inspire everyone," Paranzino added. "Three hundred years after his birth, Americans will finally learn about Franklin's psoriasis. We're sorry he had to live with this painful and often debilitating disease, but grateful he showed that it need not get the best of us." In addition to the Franklin look-alike who will be at the U.S. Capitol tomorrow, Psoriasis Cure Now is developing a pamphlet for children starring Franklin; and its Health Care Advocate of the Year awards, presented last month to Sen. Arlen Specter (news, bio, voting record) and Reps. Rosa DeLauro and Ralph Regula, were replicas of a Franklin bust created while he lived in France and was vexed by psoriasis. Franklin is also now the group's official celebrity spokesperson. Psoriasis is an incurable, recurring disease of the immune system that can first strike at any age, causing dry, painful skin lesions that can crack, bleed and itch. Franklin referred to his psoriasis as a "troublesome disorder" and wrote that its duration and tendency to spread "alarm'd" him. About seven million Americans have psoriasis. Franklin's complete writings about his psoriasis are available at www.Ben300.org or on the Psoriasis Cure Now website: http://www.psorcurenow.org. ------

Editors Note: High-resolution photos of "Ben Franklin" greeting people at the U.S. Capitol will be available by 2:30 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at http://www.psorcurenow.org /benphotos.php.
